What a season for Don Pierson #76L. Don broke
his 23 win record with winning 26 features this year. Don finished 1st in
the points on Friday's at Grand Prairie Speedway and on Saturday's at
North
Texas in Royse City.
At the SIMS/ULMA Nationals in Many, Louisiana Don
won his heat race and timed in at 17.75 to be
the 4th fastest out of the 10
drivers on the outside row for the A Main. Don finished 2nd in the SIMS/ULMA
Nationals. Great Job Don!
 The
Texas Fall Classic was held October 17 &18, 2003 at Superbowl Speedway in
Greenville, TX. Don won his qualifier and lead the 25 lap feature to win The
Texas Fall Classic. His teammate Joe Findling won his qualifier and came
in 2nd for the feature.
Don
qualified Friday night to start in Saturdays A Main. Don finished 3rd on
the one groove track.
After a tough
night of qualifying Don qualified 1st row outside for Saturday's A Main.
Don had a run
for his money with trying to pass Justin McCoy #87 and Joe Findling #76 on
his tail. On the final lap
of the 25 lap feature Don made his move to pass Justin to come across the
finish line in 1st place.
Don was ecstatic and gave the crowd a show by doing donuts on the track in
turn 3 and by adding a
wing to his roof after jumping up and down with excitement. What a
way to finish the season!
